Rapid Prototyping for CHF Meal Delivery

This week we developed a rapid prototype for our CHF Meal Delivery Service. We used a traditional method, using classic paper & ink, to develop our idea. We first picked a low sodium meal for our example, then cut out pictures of the ingredients to help visualize what will be included in our delivery box. Pictured below are the images of our Salmon, Rice, & Vegetables recipe with their sample ingredients.

We plan to have nutritional information given pertaining to each meal. However we wanted to include a visual representation of the meal's sodium level. We created a sodium level bar graph to display this meal's sodium level in comparison to the daily sodium limit of 1,500-2,000mg permitted. This was the biggest challenge that we hope to make easier for our CHF population to understand.

Another part of our rapid prototype was developing a CHF Education card. We want to include "fun facts" to help manage CHF at home. Instead of providing a redundant and bulky packet of information, we hope sending individual reminders will make learning about CHF more fun and engaging.

Overall our goal is to help promote CHF education while making home cooking healthy & convenient!
